A brook trout set is exactly what it is. I hope your friend gets that much, but it is going to take a collector, to pay that much. $350 would make me think twice, but 495 plus shipping is for collectors.

Have a great day. Best Wishes, Gregg Barckholtz

Is it your set up on ebay this morning. If so that is incredible, if not go to ebay to see a wonderful example of the Banty 44 kit. It will be very interesting to see if it sells at that price. If it is yours, best of luck, hope it sells high.

I did list it & you're the gentleman I referred to in the description. It's actually a friend of mine who had it. A fishing shop in Northern Maine had told her they thought it was a child's set, but still should be around $400. That number & fees is sort of what set the price. I did share our communication and your estimate with her, so we'll see...thanks for your help. Tom P.S. Do you think it's a child's set? After a little research, I sort of came to the conclusion that it's a light weight travel set for small brooks, streams or fishing holes that might be overgrown or secluded...

The set with a Hardy Featherweight should go around $250-300 depending on condition. My guess. But who knows in this economy. I have seen some real bargains out there and some crazy high prices at times being paid. Best Wishes, Gregg Barckholtz
